December 2017 - Key Departure for KML Senior Management Team

In January 2018, our current Managing Director, Andrew Clyne will depart the KML business after almost 20 years, having made the decision that it is time for a change, where he can pursue his personal and professional interests outside of the KML “everyday world”.  As you can imagine over 20 years, Andrew has seen a lot of changes to the KML business and to the KML family and we all wish him the very best with his future endeavours.

After an extensive search of the market, we have made an appointment to General Manager, who will commence with the business on 8th January 2018.  This appointee has extensive and relevant experience to the KML business and we are delighted to have been able to secure him. 

A further introduction announcement will be advised in in mid-January 2018.

August 2017 - KML Fleet Update

We are pleased to receive the first delivery of our KML Fleet Vehicles with the 2nd delivery planned for October/November.  We have decided to move to the Ford  Escape Ambiente and look forward to a new association with the Ford Team.

March 2017 - Key Appointment for Lower North Island Team
Craig Bearda-318-352-191 Craig Bearda commences as Territory Manager LNI:

Craig has 12 years’ experience in the FMCG industry, with various roles from Customer Services to Sales Rep to most recently Territory Manager at Tegel Foods.  He is relocating from Auckland to Palmerston North to join his family who are already living there.

January 2017 - Key Appointment for Lower North Island Team
Jackie Edgcombe 31st January 2017 - Jackie Edgcombe commences as Part Time Sales Rep New Plymouth:

Jackie has extensive experience in the Taranaki area having spent the past 12+ years in Territory management roles with Griffins Foods, Mondelez and most recently Nestle.

December 2016 - Key Appointment for Head Office Team
Emma Hood Emma Bates joins the Head Office team:

Emma has extensive Senior Administration experience, having worked for the past 6 years in London in various industries and roles. We are very excited to bring Emma on board the Head Office team, in support of the National Field Sales Team.

March 2016 - Key Appointment for National Account Team
Scott Bovaird
Scott Bovaird commenced 29th March as Account Manager:

Scott has over 10 years working in the FMCG industry, starting his career in Territory Management and moving into Category & Customer Insight Analyst & Sales Information Executive & Brand Manager roles. Scott has held roles at Sealord, Kellogg NZ and Philip Morris NZ prior to joining the KML team.

February 2015 - Key Appointment for Field Management Team

Steven Howley, National Field Sales Manager:
Steven has extensive FMCG experience with previous experience as Regional Sales Manager at Goodman Fielder, Key Account Manager for Griffins, Field Sales Manager for Pernod Ricard and Sales Manager Auckland for Bidvest Foodservice. Steven brings a high level of people leadership and management skills to the KML team.

October 2014 - KML Fleet Update
We are pleased to receive the final delivery of our KML Fleet Vehicles (planned for early November) and are continuing with the fantastic new Toyota Rav's, thereby continuing our great relationship and association with Toyota.

October 2014 - KML National Volunteer Day 
Further to our May update, KML have committed their first ever KML National Volunteer Day to the Radio Networks Special Childrens Xmas Party nationally throughout NZ.  The KML Team are all excited to be involved in such a fantastic Charity Event and will be on the ground serving food, handing out presents and manning stalls and rides for the morning of the event.

September 2014 - Key Appointment for Account Management Team
Nicole1-web-884-455 Nicole Silk commences as National Account Manager:
Nicole has over 10 years FMCG experience, starting her career in Territory Management and quickly advancing into Category Management, then onto Key Account Management. Nicole had held roles at SC Johnson, Watties, Charlie’s Trading Co and Schwarzkopf, prior to joining the KML Team in September 2014.

June 2014 - Key Appointment at KML Head Office

Marylou has over 15 years of Senior Accounting experience working in both local and international companies.  She has a broad skill set including managing Logistics, Financial Management and Human Resources which will be of great value to the KML Team.
May 2014 - KML National Volunteer Day 
KML have committed to our staff (who work over 20 hours per week) that we will be introducing a KML National Volunteer Day starting 2014, where the full team across the country will get to be involved in local volunteer activities ranging from “Heart Projects” (social activities with the elderly through to assisting people with disabilities) or “Hands Projects” (spring/autumn planting, beach and park clean-ups, working in a local furniture bank).

April 2014 - KML supports local charities 
KML are again proud to be a sponsor of “The NZ Grocery Charity Squash Tournament” with tournaments held in both Wellington and Auckland.  We look forward to the announcement of the Tournament Winners at a later date and how much was raised for Charity in 2014.

KML have reconfirmed their sponsorship for the Radio Network Special Children’s Christmas Party for the 2014 year and are very much looking forward to the November 2014 event where we will be encouraging our full team to head along for the day as part of the “Sponsors Team” so they can see for themselves the great reward for all the hard work and effort put in during the year. 
February 2014 - KML Sales Force development update-Competenz 
It is with great pride that we announce that the full contingent of Territory Managers who took part in the Competenz Sales Force Qualification during 2013 have all graduated at our February 2014 National Sales Meeting.  The course has been a huge success within KML with some great team learnings and workshops conducted as part of the qualification.

November 2013 - KML Supports local charity
KML were proud to be a sponsor for the Radio Network Special Children’s Christmas Party for 2013, with some of the KML Team heading down on the day to have a look at how the day is organised and run.  They were so impressed with the event and the team running it, that KML have committed to supplying volunteer staff for the November 2014 event.

Managing Director, Andrew Clyne says:  “Attending the Special Childrens’ Christmas Party was a very humbling experience.  The families and support teams can be proud of the real difference they are making to these children.  We must remember to support others 365 years of the day in addition to during these noted occasions.”
December 2012 - KML Sales Force development-Competenz
We are pleased to announce the upcoming release of KML’s very own Sales Training Qualification in Q1 2013, in conjunction with Competenz.  Our employee’s will gain an NZQA accredited National Certificate in FMCG Sales while being up-skilled through internal training programmes.  This National Certificate in FMCG Sales is heavily endorsed by the Food & Grocery Council and is already proving very successful throughout the industry.

September 2011- KML stands out in the trade

The KML Field Team are now even more visible when working in store. 

KML have introduced a fantastic new uniform for all employees who are out in the Trade. The Ladies have been dressed in a custom made ‘Nicholas Jermyn’ shirt, while the Men’s shirts are sourced from 3 Wise Men. All shirts have the KML logo and we are getting great feedback from Customers and the public alike. 

The National Merchandising Team are also looking smart in their new polo shirts which reads “Field Team” – there is no mistaking them and we are proud to see the Team representing KML in full force.

2010 Update - Move to new premises
KML have moved into new premises on Orbit Drive in Mairangi Bay following an extensive search over a number of months.
